Skullduggery Chopper

“While on a ride so many people take photos and videos of the bike and my partner and myself with our skull masks,” said Luciano.

HI Skol — I started building this chopper from frame up in 2011. It took one year to build with getting parts from America one by one, plus an engineer coming to my house back and forth making sure it meets Australia standards as the build progressed. My brother, who is great at sculptures, made the skull headlight from mild steel, bashing it around until he got the right shape and welding it all together to get that great look it has.

I did all the fabrication work with the help of my brothers TIG welding (I can’t TIG weld, lol). I saw the style of this tank in America and thought I would give it a go and wahla — it worked. When it was finally finished, I left it in a raw metal look to get the rugged look.

After a year I decided to change the hardware, handlebars and paint it orange. I kept it like that for about 16 months and then decided to change it back to the Axe hardware, handlebars, exhaust and give it a new paint job in tangerine.

With all that change it needed some airbrushing from a great friend of mine Laurent Machado (Allstyles Customs) who did an awesome job.

After two years, getting bored with that colour, it was time to change it again; with the first thing to make the fuel tank bigger to hold more fuel. I decided that a custom turquoise colour would look great, and with extensive airbrushing from Laurent, which is absolutely amazing, to finish off the bike; but I had to come up with a new idea of custom exhaust pipes made of stainless steel; the end result is great.

When people look at the bike they are amazed on what they are seeing and you can hear them clearly saying, “Wow! look at this,” as it has so much custom work. Yes, there a few things I have bought from eBay but they were customised for the style of the bike. While I’m on a ride so many people take photos and videos of the bike and my partner and myself with our skull masks.

Up to date, the chopper has won 19 trophies and I’m looking forward to many more.

I will forward a few photos of the different colours.

Cheers Luciano
