Harley-Davidson Shovelhead Reborn

MY Harley-Davidson Shovelhead was featured in one of your first ever issues — Issue 11 has my Harley-Davidson in it — and Issue 10 has my father on the front cover when he was 22.

After the original owner, Angelo, passed away, the bike was passed onto my father (who featured in many Ozbike magazines) and it sat in the shed for many years until I was old enough to wrap my head around an engine and basically was told to go nuts and figure it out — and after three years of building with the help of a good friend it’s completely finished.

Would be great if you guys were keen to do a little write up about it or something cool, but if not, I thought it would still be cool to share a little history with you anyway.

My next goal is to build a chopper that is good enough for a cover shot! Be pretty cool to show my kids their grandad and their dad on the cover of the same magazine.
