Rayzar Sharp Vulcan Custom Motorcycle

Rayzar didn’t have any money saved so he sold everything to buy his custom Kawasaki Vulcan.

AFTER GETTING out of the can, I moved to Perth to start a new life. I got a job and saved up and bought my first bike in years, a Virago 250 for $3000. I had the Virago for about six months before saving up and upgrading to a VN800; got it for $5000 and rode it around for another year.

I had my eye on the VN900 custom which I had seen done up in the USA with the wide-arse-end, and I thought, yeah, that’s what I want to do, so I kept a look-out in the paper, and sure enough, an as-new one came up.

I had to sell my bike as I didn’t have any money saved. Well, I was lucky, I sold my bike as soon as I put it in the paper and I had a garage sale and sold all my furniture, big TV, the works, so I could buy this custom VN900.

I then took another two years hunting down a bike builder worthy enough to get the job done. It cost me $10,000 for the work which took six months. The 250 arse-end looks awesome as it is as wide as the tank.

I had some airbrushing done on the front guard — the Grim Reaper with a gun looks great.

The rims were the first in Australia and I had to wait an extra month for them to get made from the USA. They are called Daggers and have matching brake disk and pulley.

The grips are custom, the mirrors are Arlen Ness, the indicators billet, the seat was custom made by hand from a well-know leather seat maker in Perth, and the drag bars are standard.

The Cobra drag pipes from the USA and are fuckin’ loud as you can hear me coming blocks away.

The whole bike looks and rides awesome. People always give me complements, even those with Harley-Davidsons. I have gone on many poker rides and the boys really like the bike.
