Pure Energy Rubber Glide Harley-Davidson
They said it couldn’t be done. They were wrong.
I’VE OWNED this standard 1991 FXR with a nice paint for a few years but it wasn’t enough so I asked Frank if it was possible to customise my FXR with a 240 rear-end. He took a one look and said, “No problems!”
The end product is the only FXR with a 240 wide arse-end built to factory specs. I was told by many ‘experts’ that to built a FXR with this rear-end was an impossible task. Mmmmm… well, the impossible just became a reality. What’s more, it handles like a dream.
The 110 cc RevTech motor is connected to six-speed RevTech gearbox. The Vance & Hines, two-into-one pipes have that perfect note.
The 58 mm front forks are four-inches-over with a five-degree rake. Front wheel is spoked 23-inches with twin disk and double-six J Baker brakes. Rear wheel has four-spot J Baker brake.
The front indicators are hidden in the mirrors and the rear ones in the rear foot pegs.
Paint is pearl blue with lighting strikes that continue through the tank to the side covers and on both guards.
The rear guard is a 10.5 inch ducktail with custom stop light.
I must admit, I sometimes had my doubts that my dream machine would become a reality but now, after two years of customising and changing parts, I’ve got the look and feel I wanted. It’s not a show pony or a bar-hopper—it was built to be ridden and, man, it is so enjoyable just to do so! Thanks, Frank. You have excelled yourself…
