Nitrous-Injected Supercharged Triumph Bonneville
Is this the World’s Faster Bobber?
A CUSTOM Triumph Bonneville Bobber, complete with a supercharged, nitrous-injected, parallel twin engine, producing up to 201 hp at the rear wheel, has been dubbed the World’s Fastest Bobber.
Built upon a standard Triumph Bonneville Bobber Black, Thornton Hundred Motorcycles in the UK transformed this bike with its renowned ‘V4 Wide Kit’, lending it a wide tyre stance.
The 1200 cc parallel-twin has been rebuilt with TTS machine cases, forged pistons, and a Rotrex C15 supercharger, unleashing 160 hp. With an injection of nitrous oxide that figure jumps to more than 200 hp, enabling a remarkable quarter mile time of just 10.49 seconds.
Despite being capable of a top speed of 170 mph with nitrous activated — and 150 mph without — Thornton Hundred’s upgrades are aimed at making the Bobber a usable every day bike. It rides on uprated suspension, with a sophisticated custom Öhlins fork, triple clamps, revised Brembo monobloc brakes, wide Excel rims, and grippy Michelin sport tyres.
The frame was finished in gloss black, while the tank and tail were treated to a bespoke and striking livery crafted by UK paint specialist Image Design Custom. An upgraded set of lights was installed, the seat was given custom trim, and a lightweight rear number plate holder and front mud guard were fitted.
