Methanol Running Banshee Dragster

I’ve had five wins from seven meets.

MY BIKE is not a road bike or a two wheeler but it is 100-percent custom and goes as hard as it looks. It’s a one-of-a-kind, 745 cc, twin-cylinder, two-stroke Banshee running methanol. I’ve had five wins from seven meets.

I built the Banshee from scratch with a lot of help from Troy at T&L Performance in Rockingham.

The bike has a custom stock frame, chromoly front suspension, steering stem; and plus-12-inch, one-off swingarm and a 2.1-metre chromoly wheelie bar.

The motor has a billet stroker crank and CNC billet cases. The 41-mm Keihin carbs have been modified for methanol and run a Terry Gasser throttle.

The hydraulic clutch conversion has a modified R1 billet clutch with direct-drive-lockup.

She runs 25-inch, 14-paddle Stag Skat Trak rears and Skat Trak front buffs.

40 mm, gun-drilled, JJ&A, billet drag axle and 530 chain; front rims are spindle-mount billet and rears are drag-cut billet; Brembo rear brake caliper.

Custom airbrushed hood by Martin Burge in Coolgardie. Custom trimmed seat in ostrich and ’gator from Louisiana. Paul from Bling powder-coated the bike for me. LED hand-coned custom pipes.
