LIBERATOR Harley-Davidson Fat Boy
LIBERATOR is the new work of famous motorcycle customiser Francisco Ali Manen, and it could be the custom bike that Captain America rides in one of his movies today.
THIS Harley-Davidson Softail Fat Boy with Twin Cam engine was transformed in the Lord Drake Kustoms workshop in Vélez Málaga (Spain). It is a tribute to the legendary American bikes the famous Marvel superhero rides in his movies. This new work by Fran Manen is inspired by the 1942 WLA model called LIBERATOR used by the USA Army during World War II, and which the superhero rides in the movie ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’.
According to Francisco, this could be a street version of the custom bike that the Marvel superhero uses in his free time… well, it has nothing to do in terms of equipment with the original LIBERATOR of 1942 that was loaded with details such as an ammunition box, a leather case for shotguns, a siren, and a host of other military support gadgets.
A brutal rear-end with 240 wheel and custom rims, Legend air suspension and a SuperTrapp Paul Yaffe X exhaust system perfectly reminds us of the barrels of a machine gun (although its sound is more forceful and serious).
Half monkey handlebars, a custom tank of large dimensions, and a custom front fender are other elements to highlight; as well as the digital Dakota odometer and the indicators on the Motogadget handlebars.
To give it a more modern touch, Francisco opted for the elegant Porsche ‘Oak Metallic Green’ instead of a matt military green usually used for this type of custom bike; the star represents Captain America’s shield in gold. It is finished off with a beautiful custom-made seat upholstered in brown along with the matching gas tank tie and grips.
