Lady Katrina Day of the Dead
Day of the Dead
I BOUGHT the bike in 2014 as a demo from Mackay Harley-Davidson and was never happy with the red stripe on the tank. A mate, Jackson Wyre, offered to paint it and do some airbrushing. I was like, “Yeah, okay, give it a crack.” Not knowing how talented Jacko was, I removed my tins and gave him the task of painting.
Some two months later I was like, “Hey, man, can I please get my tins back,” and he delayed saying they were not finished yet. You got to remember he was working on roster as well so it was really only a short period of time he had to do them. I was like, “Fuck, I want to ride my bike!” However, when they did come back, I was blown away with the detail.
With the theme being Lady Katrina Day of the Dead, I am stoked with how it turned out.
The rear guard is from a Harley Dyna Wide Glide as I had a mishap doing a burnout one night at Kuttable Pub on the piss and totally destroyed the factory guard and tail-light assembly.
I have since had a stage 5 tyre-fryer kit installed and am very happy with the whole bike.
Thanks for the help from Big Boar V-Twin Mackay and Busta Wood at Axleworks Motorcycle Detailing. Busta puts a lot of time into his detailing and I have mad respect for his work.
I have entered in a few Show and Shines and came out with top results and always get comments when out and about for a ride.
