Club Laverda Queensland Concours De Elegance
Club Laverda’s show brought an estimated 10,000 people together to raise a record amount for Make A Wish Foundation.
THIS SHOW was the absolute best. It is a true Concours De Elegance event, offering some 50 trophies across 14 classes. Perfect weather saw an estimated 10,000 people gather to see the 149 entered show bikes, motorcycle club and motorcycle service displays. The Brisbane motorcycle club community was again well represented with club displays from just about every club.
The Dave Ritter Band provided the music we all like to hear against the backdrop of bikes and the crowd.
The trophy for Best in Show and a cheque for $1500 went to an immaculately presented 1970 BMW R75 machine owned by John Rutherford.
This is a family day with a gold coin donation supporting Make A Wish Foundation which helps children with terminal diseases. This year the club was able to make a record donation of $9000 and a big thanks goes to all those who gave so freely on the day.
Captain Concours (aka Big Al) was proud that the Concours was such a success and thanks Ian Morrison (El Presidente), all the Club Laverda Qld members and its merry band of helpers.
